After breakfast, we were transferred to Kibale National Park which is one of the most beautiful and stunning forests in Uganda. It is home tour closest relative – the endangered Chimpanzee. The forest also boasts of having one of the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling 13 species that include the threatened Red Colobus monkey, I’hoesti monkey Blue monkey, Grey Cheeked, Velvet and the Black / White Colobus monkeys were all amazing.

The following morning we reported at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre where tourist activities begin and set out to track chimpanzees in the forest. The forest also boasts of having one of the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling 13 species including the Black and white colobus, Blue monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey and Bush babies and Pottos.

We later walked to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary and took on a guided walk around Magombe Swamp which gave us the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna, Viewed a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects.

In bwindi national park the thrilling of our encounter erased the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. We Spent time in the forest watching the gorillas went about their activities. Each encounter was different and had its own rewards, but we enjoyed the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swung from vines in a delightfully playful display. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a magnificent green swathe of dense rainforest, so ancient that survived the last ice age. A recently proclaimed world heritage site, its one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth and its unique, precious flora sustains roughly half of the world population of mountain gorillas – believed to number about 600. There is also a substantial chimpanzee population and research shows that Bwindi is the only forest in Africa in which these two apes live together.
