thorough and friendly. A MD provides treatment plans, preventive care
and screens doctor/medication recommendations of your primary care
physician. The purpose of a MD is to help ensure your primary doctor,
who many times is rushed through exams, does not miss prevalent issues.
The nurse provides medical updates to inform you of the status of your
loved one’s health and appointments. Medical treatment will resume with
a current doctor of your choice this is an added bonus most agencies

All HCS services are custom tailored to the
wants and needs of the consumers and their families. These services
include custom day habilitation, college educated and professional
staff (including the direct care staff).

lingo. Many times consumers do not receive necessary treatment because
staff is not capable of delivering the services. Sometimes, staff do
not understand the importance of ensuring the doctor’s orders are

can truly understand the importance and how to deliver the care
necessary for the consumer.
Various therapies are offered
including horse therapy for consumers who apply. Speech, occupational
and physical therapy is, many times, essential to the growth of a
person with disabilities. Some agencies may not want to “bother” with
the hassle of finding a quality therapist and ensure staff is trained
to continue the therapy treatments after the therapy sessions.
Reinforcing the therapy treatment, practicing the sessions in-home
after the therapist leaves, leads to better progression in consumers.
