Valentine’s Day seems to be a holiday that most men dread but most women look forward to. I mean really, how many times have you heard a man go, “honey don’t forget, V-Day is coming up, make sure to get me something good this year.” No, sorry, doesn’t happen too often! Now on the other hand women tend to look forward to this day. It’s like the one day a year that your spouse or partner is required to be nice and get you something special. Realistically, we should be nice to our partners all year, but especially on this day. So men, what are you getting your ladies this year? Don’t fret; I’m going to help you out by giving you some suggestions.
Call me old fashioned but I don’t mind getting flowers for V-Day. With an array of bouquets and gift baskets from Glendale Flowers, you really can’t go wrong. The key is to picking out just the right color and type of flower that your “special one” would adore. Roses are traditional and safe but why not try sprucing it up with Tulips or Orchids. You could even have it displayed in a teapot or mug for something different.
I know something else that I like to get is some nice lotion or spray to make my skin silky soft. Men, this can be something to benefit you as well. Why wouldn’t you want your lady to have nice soft skin? I think you know where I’m going with this one. The key to a good lotion is the scent and texture of it. You don’t want it to be greasy and oily or have too strong of a fragrance. Some women don’t even care for a scent at all and would prefer it to be unscented. So know what she likes before venturing out on this one. You don’t want her smelling like a turtle, or feeling like one for that matter! Then again, maybe that’s your fancy!
Okay, one word says it all and it speaks to me so clearly on a daily basis. Any guesses? If you knew me, you would know…it’s chocolate! I’m not talking cheap chocolate here fellas, I’m talking the crème de la crème. Christopher Norman, Recchiuti, Godiva, Richart Paris, Lake Champlain, and the list goes on. You name it, and we are sure to eat it! It would be safe to know if your “special one” prefers dark, milk, or white. Me, I’m a dark chocolate gal. So if you would like to grace me with some on V-Day, my address is…No, you don’t have to do that, I’m hoping my man will get me some, if he even realizes it’s V-Day! Sometimes I do think the real way to my heart is with chocolate. Ladies, this is Valentine’s Day so please spurge, even if you are on the HCG Diet.
And remember people, it’s not just about giving a gift. The ultimate gift is getting to spend quality time with your partner on this special day. Just be sure not to forget the gift otherwise you will not hear the end of it until next year!
