Uday Dutt is the promoter and managing partner of Investor's Trust, a boutique investment bank that advises Indian companies on issues ranging from raising capital, mergers & acquisitions and business & capital restructuring, and MNCs on India strategy. Uday Dutt has spent more than a decade in equity research and investment advisory advising FIIs, corporate, and HNIs on wealth creation.
Uday Dutt began his career with American Express in 1982 where he was voted ‘Manager of the Year' for three consecutive years - 1983, 1984 and 1985. Uday Dutt managed the franchise across travel, traveler’s cheques, and credit cards in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Srilanka overlooking a business with 3,500 banks, 8,700 merchant establishments and 15 branches.
He then joined Citibank in 1986 as part of a core team that set-up Consumer Banking Operations in India. Uday Dutt was also instrumental in acquiring Diner's Franchise.
More recently, Uday Dutt worked as a consultant with Billimoria Consultants headed by R P Billimoria, ex-chairman, Public Enterprise Selection Board. The Board is responsible for the selection of chairmen and directors for over 140 public sector enterprises in India. At Billimoria Consultants, Uday Duttadvised various MNCs and Indian corporate on strategic issues.
Uday Dutt earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Hindu College, Delhi, and a master's degree in business administration in finance from FMS, Delhi University. |
