Theme of the song
Think over the theme of the song and
be very clear about the purpose of the song.
Are you trying o express love to someone, are you trying to impress
someone with your talent, are you targeting a bigger audience or is it a
customized song?
Keep it simple
Only by keeping it simple will you
make it effective.
Write lyrics
Now that you have the theme in your
mind, write lyrics for the song. You may also take the help of your friends in
writing the lyrics. Some singers choose popular poems and use them as lyrics
for their songs. If you come across such poems that fit the mood of your song
and don’t’ cause any patent issues, you can go ahead with them.
Some of us are able
to write the tune and the lyrics at the same time while some
of us aren’t. We just play a tune in our minds and think of words that go with

Procure musical instruments that
would be needed to accompany the vocals. Make sure that there are optimum
